Machshava Tova

Machshava Tova

Machshava Tova is a non profit organization, established in 2003, to narrow social gaps in Israel by providing technological education to underprivileged groups, and thus minimizing the digital divide between them and the rest of the population. The main activities of the organization include operating 10 computer centers which are accessible to underprivileged populations and offering courses which provide the necessary tools and knowledge to function in a rapidly evolving technological environment. In addition, Machshava Tova operates 3 Mobile Center Units (MCU) which can reach populations in other areas of the country, including the periphery, that are unable to physically access the computer centers. The centers, currently established in Jerusalem (both East and West), Lod (a city that brings together Jewish and Arab residents) and Kiryat Yam, provide underprivileged populations with the opportunity to learn and take charge of their life and break through both physical and mental barriers that prevent them from social and economic advancement.  The target groups that the organization works with include youth at-risk, single mothers, new and veteran immigrants, the Arab sector, the ultra-Orthodox sector, the unemployed, senior citizens, people with physical and mental disabilities, and many more. Machshava Tova believes that every underprivileged population should receive the opportunity to acquire computer skills, and thus realize the potential of better jobs and a fuller life. Since its inception, Machshava Tova has served more than 18,000 individuals thus far, enabling them to advance themselves both socially and economically.
